Halloween Pumpkin Open Day

30 October 2012, 10:00am

We are having a celebration open day to enjoy our pumpkin harvest and Halloween, with spicy pumpkin soup in our spooky shed.
Halloween or Samhain was originally a celebration of the turning of the year, where the harvest was all in, and the earth (and gardeners) could go into a quieter restful stage, before coming to life again in the spring.
Pumpkins have all been harvested in time for the first frosts and apples are normally plentiful, so they were and still are the natural foods to be used in this celebration of the years cycle, (eg, apple bobbing and pumpkin carving.)
Its half term, so bring the children for some halloween activities, dressing up is optional!
October 30th 10am -2pm. Call Kate for more details on 07717462780
